Douglasville, Ga. (Jan. 2025) — The Harbor at Douglasville, a boutique memory care community, welcomes Oree Williams III as Executive Director. With over 15 years of experience in the senior living industry, four as an Executive Director, Williams is passionate about providing a comfortable, safe environment and high-quality care for seniors.
Originally from Tuskegee, Alabama, Williams attended Talladega College, receiving his degree in social work. Williams then completed his master’s in social work with a concentration in gerontology from Clark Atlanta University. Upon moving into the senior living industry, he obtained his assisted living administrator’s license from the State of Georgia.
“I am driven by the quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, ‘darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.’ My goal is to foster a community where each resident is reminded daily of their value. I aspire to be the best person I can be and to treat all people with dignity and respect. I am truly honored to serve the residents, families and team members of The Harbor,” Williams said.

His passion for people, years of experience and strong leadership skills will set him up for success in this position. Williams loves to spend time with his family and ‘best friend,’ Deuce the Labrador. He enjoys listening to music of all genres, playing basketball, trying to play golf, and will take every opportunity to watch the Alabama Crimson Tide play. He is passionate about helping his church family, which he considers an extension of his family. He currently serves as a Eucharistic Minister and Acolyte for the Archdiocese of Atlanta and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
